Batai Groups respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, request a quote or book a cleaning service, and how we handle it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Batai Groups ("we", "us") is based in London and is the data controller for personal data collected through bataigroups.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
  • Property details: address, postcode, property size, preferred dates and times, and access instructions you provide.
  • Payment information: handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers or bank account details; we receive limited references such as payment status, invoice numbers and the last digits of a card or account.
  • Communications: enquiries, messages and service records, including completion photos of work carried out.
  • Technical data: basic information needed for the website to operate securely.

3. How we use your data

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes (legitimate interests / pre-contract steps).
  • To arrange, deliver and manage cleaning visits and subscriptions (performance of a contract).
  • To take payments, send receipts, invoices and service notifications (performance of a contract).
  • To keep financial and tax records (legal obligation).

We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who we share it with

  • Stripe — card payments and Bacs Direct Debit processing.
  • Hosting, database and email providers that run our website and send service emails.
  • Our cleaning staff, only the details needed to complete your visit.
  • Authorities, where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months. Booking, payment and invoice records are kept for 6 years to meet UK accounting requirements. Completion photos are kept for up to 12 months unless needed for a dispute.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. Contact us using the details below; we respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Security

We use encrypted connections, access-controlled systems and trusted processors. Only authorised staff can view booking records.
